Deb Schradieck is a watercolor painter from Westborough, MA who spends summers at Pier 7 Marina in East Gloucester, living on a boat. Inspired by the famous Cape Ann light and waterfront landscape, she combines a realistic style with dramatic color. Deb's favorite subject matter is boats of all styles and sizes, especially the classic dories and working fishing boats; reflections on the water; and streetscapes in and around Gloucester. She puts a great deal of effort into the photography: from the water in her dinghy, and by riding a bike around the waterfront. She paints in the studio, using the photos as reference.

A lifelong talented artist, Deb holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mass College of Art and has studied at the Worcester Art Museum School. She was recently awarded the North Shore Arts Association Award at the Associates Show (July 2011). She won "Best of Show" two years in a row (2011 and 2012) at the Artist Guild of Shrewsbury Annual Exhibit. She also specializes in ultra-detailed pen and ink architectural renderings.

Her goal is to move to Gloucester and make a living as an artist. Currently, she works full time as a real estate agent in Central Massachusetts.
