I photograph the figure in water to convey the beauty and grace of the human being in motion. In water, surface swirls and glinting sunlight are telltale signs of motion, revealing an active, living creature of nature. By creating images that are sensual and lyrical, I encourage all viewers to enjoy and take delight in seeing the human form.

Photographing from above changes the normal perspective, so figures appear to soar, fall, dance, weave in and out of each other's paths. Water, sunlight, and motion combine to make each photograph unique.

Since I began photographing the figure in water, I have been fortunate to work with people who are comfortable in their own skins and who project that feeling of comfort. Our photography is very much a collaboration.

During the past ten years my work has been shown in more than 20 group shows throughout the country, and in close to a dozen solo or featured-artist shows.
My photographs have been recognized with awards in the United States and in France.
