For nearly forty years, MARILYN SWIFT has worked as a painter. From her first day of painting on Cape Ann, Marilyn was captivated by the area's scenic beauty. Working outdoors on location continues to inspire most of her work. Watercolor is her primary medium, but she also paints in oil and acrylic.
Locally, Marilyn's paintings are shown in the Summer House Gallery in Rockport, as well as in artist member exhibitions at Gloucester's North Shore Arts Association and the Rockport Art Association. She also exhibits and has won awards in numerous national juried shows.
Since 1974 she has resided in East Gloucester. Marilyn welcomes visitors to her studio/gallery, located behind her house, all year by chance or appointment. If unable to reach her immediately by phone, Marilyn is likely out painting.
