am a life-long artist in many media, including pottery, words, music, photography, watercolor, food, and computer interfaces. Since 1990, I have lived on Cape Ann, where I have been privileged to absorb arts knowledge from exhibitions, local fellow artists, and master teachers, including Betty Lou Schlemm and Martin Ahearn.

I have taken photographs since the age of 8. Wherever else my interests have focused, my camera has been a constant companion. A curious observer of what is around me, I see form, line, value, and abstract design qualities within everyday scenes. My greatest excitement comes from finding beautiful compositions in ordinary surroundings. Recently I have been exploring making new abstract compositions by combining and altering multiple photos.

My formal education and career concerned how people learn and then, knowing that, how to make computers more comprehensible for normal people to use. In the early 1990s, that specialty became of much less interest to the computer industry. From then on, I chose to explore the arts rather than continue with my prior work.

I am a member of Cambridge Art Association, Newburyport Art Association (photo interest group), and a photography member of the Rockport Art Association. While I was a member of Local Colors Gallery in Gloucester MA, I had solo shows there in ceramics and in watercolors. I have several photographs of racing yachts on permanent display at the Mystic Seaport Museum. My work is in many private collections on several continents.
