A North Shore native, Cynthia has always been drawn to the ocean and its vastly changing colors. Her wheel-thrown and hand-built, high-fire stoneware pottery is glazed in a range of blues, greens, purples, and whites. Inspired by nature, Cynthia integrates shells, stones, and coral as well as environmental motifs into her work. Her collection includes vases, mugs, berry bowls, ornaments, lamps, platters, and pitchers. Local beach glas is melted into some of the glazed pieces to create a spectacular depth of color. Each piece is unique and all are oven, dishwasher and microwave safe with non-toxic glazes.

Cynthia Curtis Pottery is located off the beaten path in a magical part of Pigeon cove surrounded by wooded trails and quarries. The pottery is nestled in tranquility and nature with ocean views on the way.

Pottery classes are offered year round to all ages and abilities. Small classes (7-8 people) are held in a fun and relaxed environment, laughing and breathing encouraged.! Students work at their own pace with individualized instruction as needed. Classes include learning to throw on the pottery wheel, handbuilding, and glazing. Private lessons. Retail gallery.
