Sue Miller, an artist whose work “traverses a thin line between abstraction and visionary landscape” (from Gallery & Studio, April 2001, by Andrew Margolis), has been selected as the Distinguished Artist/Teacher in Residence at the Rocky Neck Art Colony from June 22-27, 2008. Miller has been represented by Allan Stone Gallery in New York City for the past 29 years and by Nielsen Gallery in Boston. She lives and teaches in Boston.

During her week-long visit, Sue Miller will lead the following presentations, studio visits and critique groups.

Studio Visits and Critique Groups, June 23 - 26, 2008

The June 23 to June 26 Studio Visits and Critique Groups are free to Rocky Neck Art Colony members.

If you are not an RNAC member, the fees are:

  • $10 for Wednesday evening group critique
  • $20 for Monday/Thursday evening group critique
  • $25 for private studio visit

Registration Deadline: June 10th, 2008.

If you are not a member and would like to join, click here to download a membership application form.

Selection is on a first come first served basis. Because the demand for the studio visits and small group meetings is likely to exceed what Ms. Miller will be able to do, the Art Colony requests that only artists who are seriously engaged in their art, and who have a body of work to show and discuss, apply for these opportunities.
