For nearly forty years, MARILYN SWIFT has  worked as a painter.   From her first day of painting on Cape Ann, Marilyn's interest was captured by the area's scenic beauty. Working outdoors on location continues to inspire most of her work. Watercolor is her primary medium, but she also paints in oil and acrylic.

Locally, Marilyn's paintings are shown in the Summer House Gallery in Rockport, as well as in members exhibitions at Gloucester's North Shore Arts Association and the Rockport Art Association.  She has been an active participant in the Cape Ann Artisans Open Studio Tours since 2001. Please check www.capeannartisans.com for updated information.

Since 1974 she has resided in East Gloucester, and her studio is located just behind her residence.  Marilyn welcomes visitors to her East Gloucester studio/gallery all year by appointment.  If unable to reach her by phone,  Marilyn is likely painting outdoors somewhere on Cape Ann or on a painting trip.
