One of America's oldest continuously working art colonies, Rocky Neck, in Gloucester Massachusetts, has attracted some of the nation's most illustrious artists including Milton Avery, Nell Blaine, Stuart Davis, Childe Hassam, Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper, John Sloan, and many others. Today, this picturesque waterfront community is home to dozens of accomplished working artists.
The Rocky Neck Art Colony is a non-profit arts organization comprised of artists, businesses, and community members whose mission is to create, support, and celebrate excellence and free expression in the arts on Rocky Neck and beyond.
Artists worldwide are invited to participate in our residency program, exhibits, and workshops. Visitors are welcome to take part in Art Colony events, lectures, and exhibits and tour our galleries, restaurants, accommodations and shops.
