Cove Gallery presents: Robin Colodzin's "The Language of Presence" Exhibition

Robin Colodzin’s The Language of Presence opens at The Cove Gallery, May 7–18. This compelling solo exhibition weaves together three distinct yet interconnected bodies of work, each exploring perception, memory, and the act of seeing.

Colodzin’s oil paintings begin with close observation of the natural world, then gently shift beyond it—allowing imagined landscapes to emerge from lived experience. Her cave wall paintings echo the texture and spirit of prehistoric mark-making, reaching across time to connect with humanity’s earliest visual expressions. In contrast, her text-based works grow out of a daily journaling practice, capturing fleeting sensory moments and transforming language itself into a visual form. Together, these works invite viewers into a contemplative space where observation, memory, and imagination converge.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 4 pm.
