In this two-day workshop, led by local artist Maria Malatesta, you will begin drawing from observation and move into the addition of paint and collage. Flowers, pottery, and found objects can be used as subject matter or as a jumping off point to more abstract imagery. Demonstrations of the techniques of image transfer and various drawing materials will be included. Materials may include acrylics, watercolors, ink, conti, charcoal, pastel, collage papers and more. This will be a fun workshop of experimentation and “play” to produce works that express your ideas!
